This scooter is made by an Indian startup company called “Ola electric.” Their first Ola Electric Scooter, the S1 and S1 Pro, was formally introduced on August 15, 2021. It is a high-performance electric scooter with premium features and capabilities offered at a very affordable price. This retro-styled scooter boasts some impressive specs and features, earning it the nickname “the Indian Tesla” in the 2-wheeler market. Let’s look at its specifications and Ola S1’s features.

The S1 electric scooter from Ola Electric has been introduced to the Indian market. There are two versions of the Ola electric scooter: the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. In India, the OLA S1 electric scooter has a starting price of Rs. 99,999. The OLA S1 has a dual-wheel braking system with both front and rear disc brakes.
There are numerous standard features on both models. The Ola S1 Pro version also has voice assistance, cruise control, and a hill hold function. Normal and Sport are the two riding modes used by the Ola S1 version, however the Ola S1 Pro version has three (Normal, Sport, and Hyper).

Ola Electric Scooter Design
The Ola S1 electric scooter, which comes in two variations—Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro—is the company’s first electric vehicle offering. The Etergo AppScooter, a Dutch company, provides the foundation for the Ola Electric S1. It features an elegant European style with lovely, flowing lines, not an aggressive one. Both versions of the Ola Electric scooter have a similar design that includes an external charging port at the back, a split-style pillion grabrail, a compact twin-pod headlight with an LED DRL ring, apron-mounted sleek LED indicators, a body-colored front fender, curvy side panels, and a sleek LED taillight. Two open-face helmets may fit in the 36-litre under-seat storage compartment of the Ola Electric scooter.
The indicators are effectively incorporated into the bodywork as well. With a 36-litre storage space, the Ola Electric scooter offers the most storage space available in our market. All due to the battery pack’s clever construction. While the Pro variation offers 10 colour possibilities, the base model’s colour pallet only offers five.
Ola S1 Battery Capacity, Range and Performance
The Ola S1 can travel from 0 to 40 km in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 90 kmph. It also has a range of 121 km. According to Ola, a home charge takes 4 hours, 48 minutes, while a quick charge takes 75 kilometres in 18 minutes. Similar to this, the Ola S1 Pro has a top speed of 115 kmph, a range of 181 km, and a 0 to 40 km acceleration time of 3 seconds. Additionally, it offers a home charge time of 6 hours and 30 minutes and a fast-charging duration of 75 kilometres in 18 minutes.
The S1 Pro features a larger 3.9 kWh battery than the S1, which has a 2.9 kWh battery. It’s unclear, though, how much heavier the S1 Pro will be as a result. Ola claimed that its exclusive Battery Management System (BMS) will continuously check the battery to ensure the best possible performance, range, and safety.
Ola S1 Pro has two driving modes: Normal and Sport. Ola claims that the Sport mode forces the Ola S1 Pro to accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometres per hour in 5 seconds. This same time is 7 seconds for the S1. Additionally, an 8.5 kW motor is included, which according to Ola Electric is the most potent in the sector, has a high thermal efficiency, and “unparalleled peak power and torque.”
According to Ola Electric, the scooter has proximity unlocking for a keyless experience, and it also has clever onboard sensors that communicate with your phone to automatically lock it as you leave.
