The Volvo XC40 Recharge is priced at Rs 55.90 lakh in India (ex-showroom). It is India’s first locally assembled global EV, and it is only available through the carmaker’s online platform. The 78kWh battery powering the XC40 Recharge has a claimed range of 418km. It comes in a single top-spec variant that comes fully loaded with top-spec features like advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). When plugged into a 150kW fast charger, the SUV can be charged from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes. The XC40 Recharge is available in a single fully-loaded variant, so every feature on the list is standard.

If you’re a wealthy youngster looking for a luxury SUV, we’re sure you want something unique. This starts with the XC40’s platform. This SUV is the first to be built on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). Aside from that, the design incorporates distinctive Volvo elements such as the concave front grille and “Thor’s Hammer” DRLs, but the latter receives its own styling tweak. The profile is also unlike any other Volvo. The short and stout stance, flat bonnet, and squared-off pillars give the look of an SUV rather than a crossover, which gives it a distinct allure. It even stands tall on 18-inch alloy wheels and has a full 211mm of ground clearance.
