Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has laid the groundwork for the first Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) in Meghalaya in an office complex in Lapalang, Shillong.
EVCS is being developed as part of India’s Faster Electric Vehicle Acquisition and Manufacturing (FAME) Phase II scheme, according to the official announcement.
Under this plan, POWERGRID will develop 11 EVCS in Shillong City (5 public EVCS and 6 government EVCS). Each station will have four 15 kW DC001 chargers and one 100 kW CCS2 / CHAdeMO charger (twin-gun), forming 66 charging points. in the city of Shillong.
